Seven bikini sets, all high waisted

Swimwear

One of these has 16,777 ratings. The other six are variations on the same high rise, high leg cut, $15.99 to $19.99.

Every bikini MOOSLOVER currently stocks uses the same bottom philosophy: a high rise waist with light tummy control and a high cut leg, which is the shape that photographs long and covers the middle. What changes is the top. Three are one-shoulder, one is a bandeau with adjustable straps, one plunges, one is a sporty halter and one is a full coverage floral. Three of the seven carry a whip stitch trim around the edges. The bottoms barely move; the tops carry the whole difference.

What separates these 7

The one with 16,777 ratings

The one shoulder tie bikini at $19.99 has collected more public ratings than every other listing in this catalogue combined, and holds 4.2 stars across them. It is a double layer polyester and spandex build with a bandage tie at the shoulder, and its size chart runs to cup equivalences, which almost no bikini listing at this price bothers to publish. If you want the safest bet in the section, it is this, and the sample size is why.

Reading a bikini size chart

These pages list bust range, under bust, waist, hip and a cup equivalent per size. Use the under bust and cup pair the way you would a bra size: the M on the one shoulder tie covers 36C-D and 38A-B, not a single letter. Where your bust and hip land in different sizes, the bottom is the one to size for. A slightly loose top can be tied tighter; a bottom that is a size small cannot be fixed.

Chlorine, salt and the rinse

The listings say resistant to chlorine and saltwater, which is true and not the same as immune. Rinse in cold fresh water when you get out, do not wring, dry flat out of direct sun. Sunscreen and pool water together are what kills elastane; ten seconds under a tap prevents most of it.
